On Saturday 11th February 2023, the Congregation of Holy Cross Brothers of Ghana was given the special responsibility of promotion from a District to the Province of West Africa.

The Congregation of Holy Cross is now a province after fifty-six(56) years as a district. The inauguration Ceremonial Mass was held at St. Andre Chapel, located inside Brafoyaw, Cape Coast. Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle (Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast) was the principal celebrant of the Holy Mass and the special guests of honour to grace and award the Holy Cross Brothers the order officially were Brother Paul Bednarczyk (Superior General) and Brother Kenneth Haders (Provincial Superior – Midwest Province).

The theme to mark this significant event was “Looking into our History with Gratitude, Embracing the Present Reality with Enthusiasm, and Journeying Together into the Future with Hope”.

The event was well attended by well-wishers of the Congregation of the Holy Cross Brothers and Sisters of Ghana.
