Catholics in the Central Region embark on an Archdiocesan Marian Pilgrimage

On Saturday 25th of June 2022, the Cape Coast Archdiocese embarked on the first-ever Archdiocesan Marian Pilgrimage to the Jukwa Krobo Marian Grotto on the theme “OUR CALL TO HOLINESS AND MISSION IN THE FOOTSTEP OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY “.

This event was held to celebrate THE MEMORIAL OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY. Dignitaries present at the event included the Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast Most Rev.Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle, the Rector of Jukwa Marian Grotto Rev. Fr. David Obeng Paintsil, special guest, Rev. Fr  Jacob Tardie from the Konongo-Mampong Diocese and priests from the various parishes in Central the Region.

The Pilgrimage began with the recitation of the Holy Rosary followed by the singing of praises to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Congregants sang and danced to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary.  After the merry-making, a speech was delivered by the guest speaker Rev. Fr.  Jacob Tardie,  about the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary. He also spoke about some church doctrines. 

 The event was climaxed with the celebration of the holy mass by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast, Most Rev. Charles Gabriel  Palmer-Buckle.
